The Comets are picking up steam at home.
They won for the third straight time on Adirondack Bank Center ice, beating the Devils 5-3 on Friday night.
Things didn’t get off to such a great start when Eric Gryba scored 21 seconds in. However, Kole Lind found the back of the net for the second time in as many games to tie the game at one with eight minutes remaining in the first.
After Nathan Bastian put Binghamton back in front, the Comets would score four unanswered goals, starting with Evan McEneny. Brendan Gaunce followed him, Brendan Woods then scored in his first game back from injury to extend the lead to 4-2 and Carter Bancks’ second goal of the season broke things open in the third.
Nick Saracino would get one back for the Devils, but Ivan Kulbakov shut the door from there, making 29 saves to earn the victory.
The Comets conclude their five-game homestand tomorrow afternoon against Darren Archibald and the Belleville Senators. Puck drop is scheduled for 2pm.
