The American Hockey League continued its post season awards today by announcing that one Utica Comets player has been named to the league’s All-Rookie Team. Defenseman Brogan Rafferty is one of six players to receive the honor. Rafferty tallied 45 points this season to lead all rookie defensemen, also the third-most for all defensemen in the league. He led all rookies and was tied for fourth in the league with 38 assists. He was also an AHL All-Star this year. Rafferty was also the league Rookie of the Month for December. He says he’s been trying to stay in shape during this pandemic by rollerblading in the street so he is somewhat in shape if the Canucks ask him to join Vancouver when the NHL season returns.
