UTICA, N.Y. (WUTR/WFXV/WPNY) – Coming off of their 22 minute and 43 second win on Tuesday night over the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, the Utica Comets were set up to finish game two of their back-to-back on Wednesday hosting the Charlotte Checkers, a team that they had played close in two matchups this season, both finishing as 3-2 games with the winner having been decided in overtime.

Wednesday though it seemed like everything went wrong for the Comets as they were shutout for the second straight full-length home contest, this time 4-0. The team managed only 19 shots though the entire game, 11 of those coming in the third period when after they were already down 3-0.
