HERKIMER, N.Y. (WUTR/WFXV/WPNY) – The Herkimer freshman battery of pitcher Elora Wilmot and catcher Hailey Hunter were named All-Americans by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association on Tuesday.

Wilmot, who attended Cazenovia High School, finished fifth in the country with an ERA of 2.00 and led the Generals in strikeouts with 95 on the season. Her catcher, Hunter, a Whitesboro grad, was tops on the Herkimer squad with a .418 batting average through the year and second in RBI and On-Base Percentage.

Wilmot and Hunter were two of just 14 players nationally recognized as All-Americans by the NFCA.
