UTICA, N.Y. (WUTR/WFXV/WPNY) – Emily Durr is one of the most iconic names in Section 3 basketball, setting the section’s girls basketball scoring record in her time at Notre Dame High School with 2,445 points over her career.

It was announced earlier his week that Durr would be taking those skills to Illinois, but in a different capacity, as Director of Recruiting for the Fighting Illini women’s basketball program.

Illinois named Shauna Green as their new head coach in late March, Green coming from the University of Dayton where she won 5 Atlantic-10 Championships and 4 NCAA Tournament births, and it s her decision to bring Durr on to her coaching staff.
