DES MOINES, I.A. (WUTR/WFXV/WPNY) – After a 26-8 season and Patriot League championship the Colgate Raiders earned a bid to the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament facing the Texas Longhorns, the Big 12 champions, in the Round of 64 and losing by a final score of 81-61.
Colgate went into the game the best three-point shooting team in the country, the only division one school at above 40% from beyond the arc on the year, but the Longhorns were able to shut them down from distance, forcing them to go 3-15 from three, or 20%.
