Vancouver has been forced to reach for reinforcements from the Comets once again.
One night after seeing Brock Boeser go down with an injury while attempting to block a shot, the Canucks have recalled Reid Boucher from the Comets.
Boucher had been the Comets’ most productive offensive player. He was leading the team in goals with 12, assists with 13, shots-on-goal with 88 and was tied for first on the team with five power-play goals.
While Boucher is headed west, Ashton Sautner is on his way back east to the Comets. In 21 games this season, Sautner scored one goal and had two assists, while leading all defensemen on the team with a plus-2 rating.
In a separate move, Mackenze Stewart was reassigned from the Comets to Kalamazoo.
