Woodstock Appeal Denied By Vernon Planning Board

Woodstock To Reapply

The Vernon Town Planning Board has ruled against the Woodstock 50 promoters appeal that would have allowed them to stage concerts on three days in August at Vernon Downs. The ruling is in support of town’s Codes Enforcement Department’s denial of a permit and may be the death knell for the 50th anniversary show.

Greg Peck, principal to Woodstock 50, says they will reapply for a permit Wednesday morning.

Michael Lang, one of the promoters of the original 1969 Woodstock event, was in attendance but did not play a large role in the Woodstock presentation. Jeff Gural, the owner of Vernon Downs, also spoke at the town hall meeting.
