The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for a large part of Central New York. The Advisory area includes Oneida, Herkimer and Otsego Counties. The Advisory is in effect until 7:00AM Thursday.
Lake effect snow and blowing snow is expected. Total snow accumulations of 3 to 8 inches expected, heaviest north. Winds gusting as high as 45 – 50 mph.
Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commutes. Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility.
