Bowling fans have something to smile about; Vista Lanes in Yorkville will be reopening. After more than 65 years of operation, the bowling alley closed at the beginning of June due to foreclosure.
But two friends, and property owners in the area are in the process of buying the building with a goal to get things up and running as soon as possible.
“We are planning to reopen sometime in late July or early August and we have some plans to refurbish the lanes, upgrade the bar area and stuff like that; good business opportunity, that’s the reason we got involved,” says Bhupen Patel, Vista Lanes prospective buyer.
Prospective owners say they plan is to keep the name ‘Vista Lanes.’
