National Weather Service Upgrades To Winter Storm Warning


Warning for Monday Afternoon Through Tuesday Morning

The National Weather Service has upgraded to a Winter Storm Warning for the Veterans Day snowstorm is expected to hit the region Monday afternoon through Tuesday morning. Eyewitness News Chief Meteorologist Colleen Hurley says that we can expect 3” to 7” in the Utica/Rome area, up to 11” in the North Country, with the Otsego County region getting from a trace to 4”.

The National Weather Service’s Winter Storm Warning for the region begins Monday afternoon at 1:00PM and goes until 10:00AM Tuesday morning. Travel could be very difficult during the snow event. The hazardous conditions could impact the the Monday evening and Tuesday
morning commute.
