VERONA, N.Y. (WUTR/WFXV/WPNY-TV)— Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol has reported that a man in the Town of Verona has been arrested for domestic violence.
Around 6:21 p.m. Sunday night Deputies of the Oneida County Sheriff’s Department responded to a 911 call from a neighbor of Christopher Skinner, 34 years-old of Verona. The neighbor stated there was a lot of screaming and yelling coming from the residence next door and asked that the police be dispatched.
When Deputies arrived, Skinner had already fled the scene in his vehicle, but they did find his girlfriend inside the residence. She had visible injuries on her face, which she claims she received when Skinner started punching her repeatedly in the face with a closed fist.
A ‘Be On The Look Out’ or BOLO was quickly issued for Skinner’s vehicle and he was soon located in the City of Oneida. He arrested by the Oneida City Police without incident.
Christopher Skinner, 34 years-old of Verona has been charged with the following and is currently awaiting arraignment in CAP Court:
- Assault in the Third Degree (Class A Misdemeanor)
- Petit Larceny (Class A Misdemeanor)
The victim was transported to the Oneida County City Hospital and treated for her injuries. Her identity is being withheld at this time.
