After a three and a half month absence, Parkway Pizza in Utica is back open. Today the pizzeria officially re-opened their doors for business with a ceremonial ribbon cutting. The pizzeria had been in business for 18 years before deciding to completely rebuild. The owners say they wanted to make an investment in the area they know best.
Manager Anna Maria Kelly says, “This is where we grew up so we know the people here. A lot of local business around like Granny’s kitchen, Northern Safety, Proctor’s not far, MVCC’s not far, so a lot of patrons that come from those different areas.”
Owners say they spent nearly a quarter of a million dollars to construct the new building.
