Utica Police Investigating Shots Fired In West Utica


Half Dozen Shots Close To Fire Station

Utica Police are investigating shots having been fired on Whitesboro Street on the city’s west side. The call was for an incident at 1522 Whitesboro Street, which is the Utica Fire Department’s West Utica station. On duty fire fighters reported hearing six shots and seeing about a half dozen people running from the area.

Utica Police have a section of Whitesboro Street and Cherry Street tapped off, near the Heintz Funeral Home.

There are no reports of any injuries. Police were looking for a black colored vehicle that left the area and may have been involved.
