Utica man charged with several counts of weapon possession


UTICA, N.Y. (WUTR/WFXV/WPNY-TV) – The Utica Police Department is reporting that a Utica man on parole was arrested for possession of a gun last night.

Around 11:40pm on Wednesday September 8th, a home visit was being conducted at the 1200 block of Francis Street for 27-year-old Zlatan Bolic of Utica. It was during this visit that members of the NYS Parole Officers found the loaded handgun. After the weapon was discovered members of the Utica Patrol Division and GIVE unit arrived on scene and transported Bolic to the Utica Police Department.

He has been charged with the following:

  • Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree
  • Two counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree
  • Criminal Possession of a Firearm

The Parole department is also expected to hand down more charges against Bolic in relation to the violation of the conditions of his release.
