Utica City Schools Set Parents Meetings


Three Sessions Required As Part Of Reopening Plan

The Utica City School District has set the date and times of the three meeting with parents on the district’s plan to reopen the city’s school next month. These meetings, plus one meeting with teachers regarding the plan, are required by Governor Cuomo before the district’s plan is accepted.

The meetings are scheduled at the following dates and times:

  • Thursday, August 13, 2020 from 5:30 P.M. to 6:30 P.M.
  • Friday, August 14,2020 from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M.
  • Monday, August 17,2020 from 2:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M.

Each meeting will be held via LiveStream and will be accessible from the Utica City School District website at www.uticaschools.org according to the meeting schedule. During each meeting, school district officials will provide an overview presentation of the reopening plan and provide responses to questions about the plan.

In accordance with another Gov. Cuomo directive, the district must post, on line, its plans for remote learning, virus testing and contact tracing. That post must be up by Wednesday, August 12, 2020.
