UTICA, NY (WUTR/WFXV/WPNY) – A Utica business is celebrating St. Patrick’s Day alongside a very special anniversary.

PJ Green, a printing and mailing firm on Whitesboro Street in Utica, will be celebrating its 95th anniversary on Friday, March 17. The company started in 1928 as an advertising firm, delivering advertising and promotional items door-to-door out of their garage on Albany Street.

The now fourth generation family-owned company has since added graphic design, integrated marketing and variable printing to their list of services. The company also prints The Town Crier, a New Hartford newspaper dedicated to the events of the village.

In 2021, the Oneida-Herkimer Solid Waste Authority gave the company its RecycleOne Business certification, one of just 21 businesses in the city and 45 in the Mohawk Valley to earn the honor.

The company has since branched out to three locations: Albany, Syracuse and its original location in the City of Utica. The company will be celebrating their anniversary with special events throughout the year.
