Unmanned Aerial Systems Training

News

The State Preparedness Training Center held a week long training course for first responders across New York State. From MTA, to Putnam County, to Oswego and Manlius, first responders got the opportunity to transfer their test ability to the field. This weeks training was intended to show operators basic flight techniques.
Twelve students are allowed into the program which is held four times a year in Oriskany, New York. The future is here, and although for now Unamnned Aerial Systems are used mostly for photography and videography, the possibilities will continue to grow as better technology is developed. Eyewitness News reporter Parker Tully spoke with some of those taking the courses to learn more.
