TRAVEL ADVISORY: Temporary Ramp Closure, Broad Street and John Street going to North Utica

UTICA, N.Y. (WUTR/WFXV/WPNY-TV)– The New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) Utica Regional Office, in coordination with the City of Utica, has issued the following traveler advisory for motorists in the City of Utica, Oneida County:

On Wednesday, April 7, 2020 starting at 6:30 AM the Broad/John Streets on ramp to North Genesee Street will be closed to traffic due to construction operations. The ramp is scheduled to reopen at 10:00AM.

Signed detours will be utilized to advise motorists of the ramp closure and direct traffic to the appropriate detour routes.

Motorists are urged to slow down and drive responsibly in work zones. Fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone.  Convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.
