TRAVEL ADVISORY: Route 5/12 North & South bound in New Hartford temporarily closed

NEW HARTFORD, N.Y. (WUTR/WFXV/WPNY-TV) – The New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) Utica Regional Office has issued the following traveler advisory for motorists in the Town of New Hartford and the City of Utica, Oneida County:

On, Saturday, September 11 thru Sunday, September 12, 2021 starting at 6:00AM – 6:00PM motorists traveling through the Route 5/8/12 interchange/North-South Arterial can expect to see temporary alternating lane closures in both the north and south bound lanes due to work on the bridge.

Motorists are urged to slow down and drive responsibly in work zones. Fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone.  Convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.
