TRAVEL ADVISORY: Rayhill Trail in New Hartford temporarily closed

NEW HARTFORD, N.Y. (WUTR/WFXV/WPNY-TV)– The New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) Utica Regional Office has issued the following travel advisory in the Town of New Hartford, Oneida County:

Weather permitting, on Tuesday, May 18, through Friday May 21, 2021 a section of the Rayhill Trail will be closed at the driveway entrance to “Well Now” opposite Consumer Square on Commercial Drive for sidewalk ramp replacement work.

Signs and barriers will be installed advising pedestrians and cyclist of the temporary trail closure.

Motorists are urged to slow down and drive responsibly in work zones. Fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone.  Convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.
