TRAVEL ADVISORY: Culvert Replacement Project begins in Town of Marshall

UTICA, N.Y. (WUTR/WFXV/WPNY-TV) – The New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) Utica Regional Office has issued the following traveler advisory for motorists in the Town of Marshall, Oneida County:

On Monday, July 12, 2021 starting at 9:00AM the Route 12B culvert over the tributary to Oriskany Creek will be temporarily closed due to construction. The closure is necessary for the replacement of the culvert. Motorist will encounter a detour utilizing NYS Routes 12 and 315. The culvert is scheduled to reopen during the first week of August 2021. 

During construction, variable message signs and detour signs will notify motorists of the road closure and direct them to the detour.

Motorists are urged to slow down and drive responsibly in work zones. Fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone.  Convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.
