Third arrest made in connection to the ‘Barbershop Shooting’ in May

UTICA, N.Y. (WUTR/WFXV/WPNY-TV) – The Utica Police Department is reporting that a third person has been arrested in connection to the murder of Lemeke Pittman that took place on May 7th at a Barbershop in Utica.

On August 3rd, the New York and New Jersey US Marshalls Regional Fugitive Task Force forcibly entered a residence in Queens, NY and arrested 31-year-old Christian Rodriguez. The investigation was a collaboration of efforts by the Oneida County Sheriff Warrants Unit, the Oneida County District Attorney’s Office, and the Mohawk Valley Crime Analysis Center.

After his arrest, Rodriguez was transported to the Oneida County Jail and charged with Murder in the second degree.

Jaleek Scarborough and Hakim Muhammed were previously arrested and charged with the same crime.
