The Oneida County Board of Elections staff begin re-canvassing votes

The re-canvassing started with the mayoral race and the absentee ballots. After tallying up the votes, incumbent mayor, Robert Palmieri, had 413 absentee votes, Matthew Arcuri had 103 absentee votes, and Joseph Marino had 182 absentee votes. The board of elections staff still have to count and submit the affidavits to the state by November 15th. Without knowing how many affidavits there are, it is unknown if they will sway the vote. As of now, Palmieri is in the lead.
