Tackling County Health Issues

News

Officials came together to talk about the current state of Oneida County health. Following 5 overdose deaths earlier this week, the opioid epidemic is on the minds of area health professionals, and was a large part of the conversation. On top of opioids, chronic disease and illness, hypertension, diabetes and obesity were among the topics brought up. Director of Health for Oneida County Phyllis Ellis and Oneida County Executive Anthony Picente were on hand at the meeting. Eyewitness News reporter Jenn Seelig has more.
