Syracuse Stars Merge With Utica Jr Comets

The announcment was made on March 15th, 2019 by Syracuse Stars Founder and Presiden Don Kirnan. Starting next season, the teams will play under the Utica Jr Comets brand. This merge has given those already playing under the Utica Jr Comets a path to play at the collegiate level.The Stars have been using the Adirondack Bank Center as their home ice since 2018.

Along with the ability for players to reach the collegiate level following one path, the program will also expand to include the National Collegiate Development Conference, Premier and U-18/U-16/U-15 Midget teams.

Past Syracuse Stars graduates have played in the NHL, AHL, OHL, US Olympic Team and more.

Along with the merger, the Utica Jr Comets will create a new website and jersey design heading into next season.
