Suspect in Worcester Murder Senetenced to 22 Years to Life in Prison

OTSEGO COUNTY, N.Y. (WUTR-TV) — One of the four people charged in the death of a Worcester man appeared in court this morning.

Nicholas Meridy is one of four people charged in the death of 53-year-old Kenneth Robinson, he appeared in Otsego County Court today for sentencing.

Meridy and three teens were accused of robbing then shooting and killing Robinson in his Worcester home last October. Meridy pleaded guilty to the second-degree murder charge back in August. Today he was sentenced to 22 years to life in prison.

No word yet on when the three juveniles involved will appear in court, but they’re also facing burglary and second-degree murder charges.
