BOONVILLE, NY (WUTR/WFXV/WPNY) – New York State Police have arrested a Boonville man after he stabbed another man several times.

At approximately 12:15 am on Friday, March 31, State Police were called to Fox Court in the town of Boonville. There, they found a 35-year-old male who had sustained multiple stab wounds to his head, back, abdomen and leg. Troopers then found the suspect, 28-year-old Jeffrey Lawson, and arrested him without further incident.

The victim, whose name is unknown, was airlifted to Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse with non-life-threatening injuries.

Lawson was transported to the Oneida County Jail, where he currently awaits arraignment. He is being charged with second-degree assault, a felony, and fourth-degree Criminal Possession of a Weapon, a misdemeanor.
