UTICA, NY (WUTR/WFXV/WPNY) – Oneida County Sheriffs arrested a Utica man on Friday, March 24 on charges of inappropriate pictures of children on his phone.
The mobile app Snapchat alerted the Center For Missing and Exploited Children that a user in Utica had uploaded what appeared to be child pornography. They then notified the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force in Albany, who contacted Oneida County Sheriffs, as well as the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center.
After the Sheriffs’ investigation, they arrested 36-year-old Armin Nukica of Utica and searched his phone, in which they found inappropriate material of two unidentified children.
Nukica was charged with two counts of Possessing a Sexual Performance of a Child, a felony. Nukica was issued an appearance ticket. He is scheduled to appear in Utica City Court in April.
