School board budgets went before local voters tonight. In addition to the financial proposals, positions on school boards were also on the ballot, although most of those races were uncontested.
In Utica, the school budget was passed by an overwhelming margin. Incumbents Chris Salatino and Lou LaPolla were returned to the board.
The Rome City School District’s budget proposal also passed by a wide margin.
Budgets passed in Whitesboro and New Hartford as well. In Whitesboro, the two incumbents seeking re-election were returned to the board. In New Hartford, Annette Bean and Cindy Phillips earned five-year terms on the board, while Linda Lark will sit for one year.
