ROME, NY (WUTR/WFXV/WPNY) — Rome Police arrested two people on Tuesday, November 14 after searching a Jay Street home on a search warrant and finding drugs.
Police reported to the execution of a search warrant at approximately 3:15 PM on Tuesday, November 14 at 301 Jay Street. Search warrants were executed on the suspect — 30-year-old Andrew Seifert of Rome — and his residence.
During the execution of the warrant, Rome Police seized packaging materials, numerous digital scales and almost 100 grams of methamphetamine. Siefert was subsequently arrested and charged with:
- second degree Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, a Class A felony in New York State.
Police also arrested another person on the scene in execution of the search warrant — William Last — in which they seized six grams of fentanyl that was on his person. Last was charged with:
- fourth-degree Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, a Class C felony in New York State.
Both Siefert and Last were booked, processed and held for arraignment.
