It’s a day of loss for one area radio station and many CentralNew York listeners.
Afternoon radio personality Frank McBride of 92.7 TheDrive passed away earlier this morning. Hisco-workers describe him as a passionate, loyal man who loved his family,community and his profession.
The station co-owner says they will try to continue thetraditions Frank set for them.
“He was so proud of the fact that his wholebroadcasting career had been in Utica that he lived here all his life and thatthe events and charities were all for our local community. When he was in theoffice you knew he was here. He had lots of ideas, lots of energy and alwayswas focused on being entertaining to the audience,” said station co-owner, MindyBarstein.
Frank had been with the drive for five years. He was 55years old.
