Public Hearing Set For Future Of Northland Building

Utica Mayor Explains

A public hearing has been scheduled to examine the use of Public Domain for the City of Utica to acquire the former Northland Communications building on Court Street in Utica. The city owns the majority of the building and wants to use the location for parking in the downtown area. The developer who owns the other piece of the building wants to acquire the entire building and develop it for mixed use.

Utica Mayor Robert Palmieri released a statement Friday explaining the city’s position.
