“It’s a great benchmark to look back where we were 20 years ago and where we are now,” Ken Marchione, Dean of Academic Affairs, said.
Alumni from the past 20 years will return to campus to present an exciting multi-media exhibition. One artist will represent each class year with an original piece.
“The results of students who have gone through a top-notch Pratt art education and have made their way out into the professional world as artists and designers,” Marchione said.
In 1999 Munson-Williams joined forces with the Brooklyn-based Pratt Institute to create PrattMWP College of Art and Design to give students another option for their art college experience. Pratt extension campus located in Utica provides an intimate Upstate experience where students can spend their first two years as they pursue their BFA Degree.
“I think it really provides the arena for a student to really become confident in their own abilities and confident in their voice and grow up a little bit as human beings,” Marchione said.
The exhibit will be open to the public until Dec 9.
