Poland Central School Staff To Return To School Following Fire

Three days after a fire in the Poland Central School, staff are preparing to return for a partial day as repairs continue. The fire started around 2:30am on May 14th, 2019. The fire destroyed part of the basement and caused damage to the sixth grade wing. Staff are scheduled to return, however the timetable for students return is still up in the air. The district will not have to make up the missed days because under the state classification, these missed days are seen as ‘extraordinary condition days’.
