FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE COVID 19 Update Otsego County Department of Health October 27, 2020
5 cases reported today. OCDOH was made aware of another death related to COVID. There has been 8 total deaths since March 2020 related to COVID. All the deaths have been in individuals over the age of 60. We know people over 60 are at most risk for severe illness. We need to do all we can to protect our seniors. Please remember stay home if you are sick, wear a mask, wash your hands frequently and practice social distancing. Your mask should cover your mouth and nose at all times while you are wearing it.

• 986 total confirmed cases • 40 active cases • 0 hospitalized • 8 deaths • 751 probable and confirmed cases linked to SUNY Oneonta • 32 confirmed cases in Hartwick College students
