One of New York State’s most wanted fugitives is caught.
Utica police tell Eyewitness News Robert Blainey, a convicted sex offender wasstopped tonight by Pennsylvania police.

Robert Blainey, a convicted sex offender and Utica resident has been on the runafter he stopped meeting with his parole officer.
Tonight, state police in Pennsylvania found him after they stopped a carbelonging to Linda Turner.

Ms. Turner, the owner of the Davis Motel on Herkimer Road was found dead lastweek.
Investigators from the Utica Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Divisionare currently in route to Pennsylvania.

Prior to his disappearance Blainey was living on the 900 block of Rutger Streetin east Utica.
That neighborhood certainly feeling safer tonight, knowing this man is inpolice custody.

Now, investigators have the job of figuring out what happened between the lastvisit with Blainey’s parole officer and how he ended up being caught driving a deadwoman’s car.
