Although an autopsy has been conducted, officials saythey’re not releasing the results regarding Saturday’s shooting at the Forge Motel in Old Forge.

30-year-old Catherine Koestner of Utica died of a single gunshotwound to the head, according to the Herkimer County District Attorney’s Office.

Officials say no one has been charged in this incident, butwitnesses are still being questioned.

Herkimer County’s acting District Attorney, Jeff Carpenter,says he doesn’t anticipate the investigation to continue much longer.

“Initially we did have several questions. I think thatthe investigation both forensically in the room as well as the interrogation ofsome witnesses, together with the autopsy those are being answered,” saidCarpenter.

Mr. Carpenter tells Eyewitness News he cannot comment on thegun used in the crime. The New York State Police are continuing to follow up onleads.
