An expected visit by Governor Andrew Cuomo on Friday has apparently been canceled. Local sources and a tweet by the Albany Bureau Chief for the Politico website indicate that Cuomo will not be coming to the Mohawk Valley. There never was a confirmation from Albany that Cuomo was coming, however, several local officials had received invitations to attend an event with the governor. It was first scheduled for Thursday afternoon and then for Friday morning. Now, it is not happening this week.
Speculation was that Cuomo would make some kind of announcement related to the Marcy Nano Utica project. There was no official release on the visit, there is no way to know what the subject matter was to be. Those who received invitations said that they did not know what the governor planed to discuss.
