Lutheran Home worker charged with Grand Larceny and Possession of Stolen Property

KIRKLAND, N.Y. (WUTR/WFXV/WPNY-TV) – The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office has reported that a Lutheran Home employee has been arrested for stealing from a resident.

The initial investigation began on Wednesday August 18th when the OCSO Road Patrol Unit was called to respond to the Lutheran Home in Kirkland. They had received a report that someone has stolen jewelry from a resident.

Due to the nature of the case, the OCSO Criminal Investigation Unit took over and on September 10th, 22-year-old Mirella Perez-Rodriguez was arrested for the following felonies:

  • Grand Larceny in the Third Degree
  • Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the Fourth Degree

Perez-Rodriguez was processed and then transported to the Oneida County Jail. She is currently being held pending an arraignment at the Centralized Arraignment Court.
