20-Year-Old Dies After Struck by Car While Riding Bike


Victims have been identified

**UPDATE** The Rome Police Department has arrested 21-year-old Greish Ortega-Lebron of Rome. She is charged with: Aggravated Vehicular Homicide, Operating a Motor Vehicle with .08% greater, Driving While Intoxicated.

20-year-old Jasmine Finch of Rome was pronounced dead at the scene. 33-year-old Travis Carpenter of Rome was transported to a hospital from injuries he sustained.

Ortega-Lebron is currently out for arraignment at Central Arraignment Processing.


ROME, NY (WUTR-TV) — A woman on a bicycle has died after being struck by a car last night. Thursday night around 11:58 p.m. Rome Police were dispatched to the intersection at Black River Blvd and East Dominick St where the accident happened. Police say the woman on the bike was pronounced dead at the scene. One adult male was transported to the hospital but is in stable condition. The investigation is on-going.
