CLINTON, NY (WUTR/WFXV/WPNY) – A threat was made against the campus of Hamilton College. The threat was made on an internet chat site saying that the person was planning to shoot up the Kirner-Johnson building. The Kirner-Johnson building is a large academic building that is connected to other buildings on the campus.

The school put out a warning to those on campus to shelter in place. The shelter in place was rescinded at 9:30PM. State Police were working to clear the buildings and had found no shooter.

The New York State Police are in charge of the search and investigation. Also responding to the threat are the Oneida County Sheriff Office, Kirkland Town Police, FBI, as well as Hamilton College Campus Security.
