New York State police have arrested a second suspect in connection to the murder of an Oneida Castle man.
23-year-old Romero Collier was arrested Thursday for murder in the second degree. He’s accused of robbing the victim, 22-year-old Tyler Mcbain of Oneida Castle, with 22-year-old Travon Golden. Mcbain was fatally shot in the torso during the robbery.
According to state police, Collier and Golden traveled almost 100 miles on the Thruway earlier this month before crashing their car in Seneca County. Golden was arrested, but Collier went on the run for more than a week, sparking a manhunt in the woods near Waterloo Premium Outlets. He was tracked down Thursday and was taken to Oneida County Jail for arraignment.
State police are still investigating Mcbain’s murder. If you have any information, you can leave an anonymous tip with New York State Police Troop D at 315-366-6000.
