UTICA, N.Y. (WUTR/WFXV/WPNY) – The Utica Police department is reporting that there was a shooting in Utica over the weekend and they are asking for anyone with information to come forward.

According to police, around 5:18 pm on Sunday, January 23rd, shots were fired on the 100 block of Leah Street. What is described as a silver or white Jeep Compass, allegedly opened fire, and struck another vehicle multiple times in a drive-by shooting. The suspect vehicle was last seen heading East on Leah Street and nine spent shell casings were recovered from the scene.
