UTICA, N.Y. (WUTR/WFXV/WPNY) – The Utica Police Department reports that a man was shot in the leg on Kemble Street in Utica on November 3rd and is asking the public for help gathering information.

Around 3:00 pm on Thursday, officers arrived at the 1500 block of Kemble Street to investigate a ‘shots-fired’ incident. On the scene, they learned that unknown individuals in a vehicle allegedly fired on people standing in a driveway. Officers were also able to find found 15 spent bullet casings in the vicinity of the shooting.

There were no victims on the scene, but approximately an hour after the shooting, a man entered St. Elizabeth’s Hospital with a gunshot wound to his upper rear leg. 

The investigation has been assigned to the Major Crimes Unit and investigators are asking anyone with information regarding the incident to call 315-223-3556.
