ORISKANY, N.Y. (WUTR/WFXV/WPNY) – The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office is reporting that a Missouri woman has been arrested on multiple felony charges, including second-degree arson after a search warrant was executed on August 26th.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, on Thursday, following an arson investigation, a search warrant was issued for the arrest of 36-year-old Crystal Newbold from Missouri.

Deputies had information that Newbold was at Motel 6 in Oriskany, and on Friday, August 26, the Waterloo Police Department, and the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office took her into custody without incident. She has been charged with the following:

  • Arson in the Second Degree (Class B Felony)
  • Criminal Mischief in the Second Degree (Class D Felony)

Newbold was then transported to the Kurt B. Wyman Law Enforcement Building in Oriskany where she was processed and is currently waiting for her arraignment.
