UTICA, N.Y. (WUTR/WFXV/WPNY) – The Utica Police Department is reporting that a man from Brookfield has been arrested for allegedly committing fraud with a local credit union.
On Wednesday December 29th, UPD’s Criminal Investigations Division arrested 31-year-old Christopher Bishop after a year long investigation for allegedly depositing fraudulent money orders and then withdrawing the funds.
The total amount of money Bishop is accused of stealing is from the credit union was over $8,900 in that time. He has been charged with the following:
- Grand Larceny in the Third Degree
