UTICA, NY (WUTR/WFXV/WPNY) – Utica Police are asking for the public’s help with a series of incidents at a local golf course.

According to police, the investigation into the destruction and theft of golf carts from the Valley View Golf Course on Memorial Parkway. During the late overnight hours into the early morning, groups of individuals have accessed the area where the carts are housed. The group has then stolen the carts and driven them through the golf course, which has caused further damage to the course.

Investigation into the incidents have found fencing and protective areas have been damaged around the golf course. The Criminal Investigation Division has been assigned the case, and the investigation remains open and ongoing.
