UTICA, NY (WUTR/WFXV/WPNY) — The New York State Department of Transportation announced on Friday, September 29 that several off-ramps in the City of Utica will be closed on Saturday, September 30.
Off-ramps will be closed along State Route 8 in the city during the day on September 30 to facilitate paving operations, weather permitting. The closures will be in the following order:
- Campion Road
- Mill Street
- Genesee Street
The paving is expected to begin at 6 am on Saturday, September 30 and is scheduled to be completed by the end of the same day. Motorists are asked to seek alternate routes while the work is being done. Variable message signs will also notify motorists of the work.
Motorists are also urged to slow down in work zones, as fines are doubled for speeding in work zones. Two or more convictions may result in the suspension of the offender’s license.
