ROME, NY (WUTR/WFXV/WPNY) — The New York State Department of Transportation has issued a travel advisory for Monday, October 9 for the city of Rome.
The Department announced that they will be working on overhead sign installations on State Route 825 in the city of Rome on Monday, October 9 between 7 pm and 6 am. The work will be done between the King Pin Lanes and State Route 49.
Motorists should be prepared for brief traffic stoppages during work hours.
Variable message signs will notify motorists of the work being done.
Motorists are also urged to slow down in work zones, as fines are doubled for speeding in work zones. Two or more convictions may result in the suspension of the offender’s license.
